Welcome to the community!
What is James Oglethorpe Primary School Parents Association (JOPSPA)?
JOPSPA is open to all families and friends throughout the school: as soon as your child joins James Oglethorpe Primary School (JOPS) you are welcomed to our JOPSPA community.
A team of our families work alongside our wonderful Headteacher Mrs Durrant and all of her amazing team at the school to enhance all of the children’s school experience and bringing to life opportunities for parents/carers, children and staff to come together.
We pride ourselves on being inclusive, so whether you can dedicate five minutes or five days per term, your ideas and input will always be welcomed!
We are looking as a parent community to also select an annual beneficiary charitable cause, nominations will posted on all social platforms for final selection by the JOPSPA community which means your vote counts!
This is run alongside fundraising for the school itself, which we sprinkle into the school calendar with plenty of activities to complement the curriculum and termly topics. If the pandemic has taught us anything, it is how to be creative in the way we can support and engage with our children, families, and staff alike.
The real world, the JOPSPA can only achieve all of this, with the help from each and every one of you and it is important because educational research shows that children achieve higher levels when parents/carers and teachers work together.
Exciting times ahead if we all share our ideas and get involved!
